AlmaU is the only university of Kazakhstan in well known Global MBA Rankings 2021

Quacquarelli Symonds rating: AlmaU entered the top 200 world MBA programs and the top 25 MBA programs in Asia

The General MBA program of the Higher School of Business Almaty Management University is the only one in the CIS that entered the TOP-200 of the QS World University Rankings: Global MBA Rankings 2021 and took the 23rd place in the TOP-25 MBA programs in Asia.

On September 23, 2020, the international rating agency QS World University Rankings published a rating of the world’s best MBA programs, which is available on the QS website.

The QS Global MBA Rankings 2021 includes MBA programs from 258 universities and business schools from 40 countries of the world (last year, the ranking included 240 schools from 38 countries).

Countries and regions included in the rating: USA (109 MBA programs), Canada (20), Europe (70), Asia (33), Latin America (9), Oceania (14). Russia is represented by two universities – the MGIMO School of Business and Kazan Federal University, which are located in 201+. AlmaU is the only university in the CIS to rank 151-200 in the ranking, along with such universities as:

University of California San Diego (USA)

Shanghai University (China)

City University of Hong Kong (Hong Kong)

Waseda Business School (Japan)

Yonsei School of Business (South Korea)

S.P. Jain IMR (India)

University of Exeter Business School (UK)

LUISS Business School (Italy)

Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong (Australia)

Top 10 MBA programs are traditionally presented by such universities as Stanford Graduate School of Business (USA), The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (USA), MIT Sloan School of Management (USA), Harvard Business School (USA), Columbia Business School (USA), Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley (USA), HEC Paris (France), INSEAD (France), IE Business School (Spain), London Business School (UK).

AlmaU scored 42.6 points out of a possible 100 according to the rating methodology. This result means that the HSB MBA program is among the 59% of the best programs worldwide out of 258 participating business schools and shows significant qualitative growth in its activities every year (the previous period was 29.8 out of 100).

The best indicators of the GSB AlmaU according to the results of the current rating are entrepreneurship and the results of graduates (125th place in 2020, 165th place in 2019) and employment (137th place in 2020, 167th place in 2019).

Almaty Management University took 23rd place in the TOP-25 MBA programs in Asia (the rating is available on the QS website), located between S.P. Jain IMR (India) and Shanghai University (China) business schools. The TOP-5 includes the MBA programs of business schools in Singapore (4) and China (1): INSEAD Singapore, ESSEC Singapore, National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technology University Singapore, CEIBS (China).

The rating of MBA programs in Asia is represented by the 33 best programs (in 2019 there were 25), in the list of which the MBA program of the HSB AlmaU showed the results that are most consistent with the average for the Asian region: employment – 17th place, entrepreneurship and graduate results – 19th place.

In the QS Global MBA Rankings: Asia-2020, AlmaU was also included in the TOP 25 best MBA programs, where business schools from Pakistan, South Korea, Singapore, China, Japan, Hong Kong, India and 2 multi campus universities were represented. Competition in the rankings has increased in 2020 due to the participation of more Asian business schools.
