Dr. Christine Piepiorka (*1981) is Professor of Media & Communication and Vice Dean of the Department of Sports, Media & Communication at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences. She graduated in 2001-2005 with a diploma in media economics from the Business and Information Technology School (BiTS). She completed a master’s degree in media science at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, where she subsequently completed her PhD. During this academic career, she worked full and part time in various fields such as marketing, online marketing, public relations, TV production and film production. In addition to numerous conference contributions and the organization of international conferences as well as the national annual workshop for Television History and Television Studies in Germany, further specialist contributions in the field of television economics and media studies have been produced in recent years.
