Sally is an academic leader and certified practicing speech-language pathologist. She believes in the transformative power of human connection that is enabled through one’s ability to communicate.

With a career in the higher education sector spanning 20+ years Sally is recognised nationally and internationally as an innovative academic leader in transnational education, curriculum development and the preparation of speech pathology students for practice. Her work has been supported by international and external funding exceeding $2.5M and has been recognized through numerous University and community awards.

True to her passion, Sally remains dedicated to the development of speech-language pathology in majority world countries and under-served communities. She volunteers on the Board of Directors of the Trinh Foundation Australia supporting the development of speech therapy in Vietnam and has been recognized with a prestigious award and medal from the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. Sally has undertaken numerous consultancy projects and currently working with Universities and industry partners on the development of speech therapy services and training for China.

Sally is her husband’s No. 1 supporter and greatest joy is her three daughters.
