Dr Mary Pang received her education in the United Kingdom, graduating with a BSc (Hons) Economics (Business Administration) from Cardiff University, then obtaining a PhD (Sociology) from the University of Warwick. In 1993 Dr Pang joined City University of Hong Kong (CityU), where she is now concurrently an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Associate Dean (Internationalisation) in the College of Business. A recipient of CityU’s Teaching Excellence Award in 1999, Dr Pang’s primary research interests and publications are in the areas of occupational choice and career development, as well as teaching and learning.

Having spearheaded Internationalisation strategies for the College of Business since 2002, Dr Pang has been responsible for growing the flourishing Student Exchange and Summer Programmes, which now enable approximately 60% of all business undergraduates to have an overseas immersion experience during their studies. She has been an invited speaker and presenter at international conferences and workshops, and she is a Member of the International Advisory Board of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. Dr Pang has been a visiting scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Singapore Management University, Aston University and the University of Mannheim.
