Dr Wilhelm Klein is CEO of Zeta Motion, a deep tech company based in the UK and Hong Kong, providing Visual AI for smart manufacturing and beyond. Zeta Motion is supported by CityU, the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park, Mizuho Crowdbrain, the Creative Destruction Lab at Oxford University, HKAI lab and other prestigious programmes, and was recently selected for the HK Tech 300’s inaugural Angel Investment cohort.

Both Wilhelm and his co-founder and CTO, Dr Huy Phan, earned their PhDs at City University of Hong Kong’s School of Creative Media, in Technology & AI Ethics and Computer Vision & Graphics, respectively.

Wilhelm also serves as visiting professor for Hong Kong Baptist University’s Ethical & Theoretical AI lab, where he contributes to collective efforts towards ethical and sustainable innovation, especially regarding AI-based technologies. He is an outspoken digital rights advocate and a director for Hong Kong’s Makerspace DimSumLabs.

In his free time, Wilhelm is a tinkerer and creator. He greatly enjoys black- and bladesmithing and building and racing drones competitively.
