Helen is International Partnerships Manager at the University of Liverpool. She leads on partnership development with academic institutions in India and the Americas to support research collaboration and education mobility. The latter includes support for collaborative online learning for students with international partners.
Previously she was chief operating officer for the DFID funded ReBUILD consortium led by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine addressing health systems research in fragile and conflict affected states. She has also managed a number of research consortia addressing research on health workforce development challenges in sub-Saharan Africa funded, by the European Commission. She has held public health research management roles for a regional Public Health Observatory in the UK and the National Health Service. She began her career teaching economics before moving onto research roles in the education and health sector in both local and national government.
