Mr Leopoldo Jaime N. Valdes

Leopoldo "Leo" Valdes has worked with international organizations, governments, not-for-profit organizations, and learning institutes in three world regions, fulfilling various roles.

He acquired an engineering degree from De La Salle University and worked for San Miguel Corporation and Procter & Gamble Philippines. He performed in production management and systems analysis.

Leo started the user support services and training programs of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the United Nations in Vienna, Austria.

He immigrated to Canada, where he started consulting for the United Nations and the Philippine government on accessible web design and electronic accessibility policy. His advocacy contributed to the United Nations Declaration on the Rights and Dignity of Persons with Disabilities.

He also served as executive director for two non-profits, promoting small businesses and serving new immigrants to Canada.

He completed an executive MBA program at Simon Fraser University and a Master's in Human Resources Management at the City University of Seattle. He taught management courses for several British Columbia higher education institutions.

Leo served Holy Angel University as a Business Instructor, Internationalization Officer, and eLearning Project Leader. In October 2021, he became the Officer-in-Charge President of Holy Angel University and led a safe post-pandemic campus reopening.
