Professor Julie Li is Chair Professor of Marketing at City University of Hong Kong (CityU). She was appointed Associate Provost (Academic Affairs) in 2018 and Director of the CityU (Dongguan) Campus Office in 2020. Her major responsibilities include overseeing academic planning and academic development, facilitating faculty appointments, advancing undergraduate education, and leading the development of CityU (Dongguan).

Professor Li’s research interests include marketing strategy, knowledge creation, innovation, and interorganizational relationships, with a focus on marketing channels in emerging economies. She has published over 40 articles in prestigious journals, including top-tier journals such as Journal of Marketing, Journal of Operations Management, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of International Business Studies.

Professor Li serves as the Subject Convenor (Business Studies) of Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector of the Research Grants Council in Hong Kong, and she also serves as the Board Chairman of the Joint University Programmes Admissions System in Hong Kong. She is a specialist appointed by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and she is the Subject Chair of Business and Economics on the Scopus Content Selection and Advisory Board.
