The premise that education excellence cannot be achieved without informed by research is well received. This Fireside Chat topic on decoupling research impact and education excellence within universities for better outcomes builds on the above premise. It aims to explore and unpack practical & pragmatic ways to decouple research impact and education excellence within universities for better outcomes from students experience, graduates employability, universities’ reputation in particular differentiation, community engagement, local economy, alumni, staff, deep focus in priority research areas, education excellence, to national university system, from the perspective of individual speakers’ expertise and experience.
